What can you expect when you visit a Silicon Forest Toastmasters meeting?
You can look forward to an agenda featuring:
Introductions
Each meeting begins with updates and explanation of the meeting theme. If you comfortable doing so, guests are asked to introduce themselves.
Speeches
Next, members that have signed up for the opportunity deliver prepared speeches giving them a chance to practice the art form.
Table Topics™️
Members and guests then volunteer to give impromptu speeches to questions given in the moment, challenging them to think on their feet and talk for 1 - 2 min. As a guest you are invited to participate.
Evaluations
Finally, fellow members provide constructive feedback and positive reinforcement, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and guests are encouraged to provide their impressions of the meeting. We strive to start and end on time so people can get back to work if they need to.
